BACKGROUND
INTERNATIONAL DENTAL SUMMER SCHOOL 2013 ( 28th June 2013 - 11th July 2013)
International Dental Summer School (IDSS) 2013 is a 4th Generation of a captivating summer school organized by Dental School of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta. The program is combining Educational and Social activity. The aims of IDSS are to broaden student’s knowledge in Public Health Care in Indonesia and also to let international students gain clinical experiences especially during Dental Voluntary Work. IDSS allows participants to perform subjective and objective examination, diagnose, and treatment in Modified Problem Based Learning System
.Venue : Dental School of Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, Asri Medical Centre and Affiliated Public Health Centers and School Dental Service.
Period : June~July 2013
Participants : Minimal year ; 3rd Year, clinical students, internship students and Young Dentist (maximal year of graduation is 2010)
Activities: Educational, Non Educational, Voluntary Work
Main Topics : Health Care in Indonesia, Dental Care in Indonesia, Endemic Dental Cases in Indonesia, Alternative Medicine : Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine , Voluntary Work
Educational Program: Lectures, Tutorial Discussion, Skills lab Activity, Clinical Visits, Plenary Discussion, Voluntary Work
Non Educational (Social Program) : City Tour ( Malioboro, Sultan Palace, Tamansari Water Castle, Prambanan Temple, Borobudur Temple, Kota Gede, Kasongan), Ramayana Ballet, Krakal Beach, Rafting, Back to Nature camping, Village Day, Tropical Outbond, International Nights (Expo and Dinner).
Fee: 380 € includes 2 weeks stay at hotel, breakfast, educational program and tarnsportation.
